Requisition Summary

Peterbilt Motors Company, a PACCAR Company, has an opening for an Applications Engineering Intern to add to our Division Applications Team in Denton, Texas.

Job Responsibilities

This position will be working on various projects and reports to include but not limited to:

• Researching and updating information on Body Builder Manuals.
• Researching and updating information on the Engineering Databook option details and compatibility
• Work with CAD model assemblies to improve turning radius calculations for all Peterbilt models.
• Analyze chassis weight scale data and system estimate deviation for improving accuracy.
• Identifying opportunities to simplify and improve the chassis spec’ing process.
• Creating quote chassis using the SmartSpec sales tool for customer quotes.

Required Qualifications

The candidate we seek will be currently enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering, or a related program.

Preferred Qualifications

The skills that are important to be successful in this position are as follows:

• Proficiency with CREO Parametric or similar CAD software 
• Exceptional Microsoft Office
• Excellent verbal and written communication
