We are seeking a Design Assistant who is passionate about design, thrives in a fast-paced creative environment, and is eager to grow. This role offers a unique opportunity to work directly with Jaque Bethke herself, gaining hands-on experience and mentorship from a designer with over 42 years of industry experience.

About The Role

This is a full-time, in-person position based in Scottsdale, Arizona. The Design Assistant supports the team across all phases of projects — from concept and sourcing to pricing, ordering, and installations. You will work hand-in-hand with Jaque, contributing meaningfully to projects while learning the full scope of a design and architectural practice.

This role is ideal for someone dedicated, detail-oriented, and ambitious, with the potential to grow into larger roles within the company over time.

What You’ll Do

• Source furniture, finishes, fabrics, lighting, and materials
• Request and track quotes from vendors and showrooms
• Communicate with the finance team regarding orders and approvals
• Place product orders and monitor lead times and deliveries
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date pricing and specifications
• Create mood boards and assist with client presentations
• Support drawings, layouts, and visualizations
• Organize samples, specifications, and project files
• Communicate with vendors, showrooms, and fabricators
• Assist with installations and studio logistics

You’re a Great Fit If You

• Love bold design, bright colors, and one-of-a-kind spaces
• Have a background or strong interest in interior or architectural design
• Are comfortable with AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools IS A PLUS
• Are highly organized and detail-oriented, especially with pricing and documentation
• Are proactive, reliable, and eager to learn
• Thrive in a collaborative, creative firm environment
