Fitness Center Attendant - East YMCA of Dane County

We are seeking an outgoing, self-starter to join our team of fitness professionals. Our team seeks to provide safe, friendly, clean atmosphere to support our members' health and wellness goals.

Days/Times needed - Tuesday and Thursday between 7am - 2pm

Job Responsibilities:

• Provides orientations to our various member populations to ensure safe and proper usage.

• Enforces our Fitness Center policies and guidelines to provide a safe, friendly and inclusive atmosphere.

• Understands and explains the programs offered in the Fitness Center and throughout the facility.

• Utilizes our operating system for scheduling services, updating member information and managing availability.

• Utilizes Chrome apps to for communication and documentation.

• Cleans, sanitizes and organizes equipment and Fitness Center.

• Performs required safety, cleanliness and maintenance checks, takes the necessary precautions to prevent accidents.

• Providing personalized member experiences and building positive relationships with and among members, staff, volunteers and/or guests. Creates a supportive and uplifting community environment.

• Facilitates the development of small communities, helping members to connect with other members.

Position Skills and Experience :

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• General Fitness experience preferred.
• Google Chrome experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
