Freight Broker 

Salary: $60,000 - $75,000 

Location: Royal Oak, MI | Full-Time | In-Office

About the Role

We’re looking for a Freight Broker to join our fast-growing logistics team in Royal Oak, MI . In this role, you’ll take ownership of carrier relationships and keep freight moving efficiently across flatbed, van, and drayage lanes.

This isn’t an entry-level seat, it’s a chance to build meaningful partnerships, manage your own book of carriers, and make a real impact on margin and capacity as the company scales. Responsibilities

• Own the flatbed coverage while supporting van, reefer, and drayage lanes.
• Source, negotiate, and manage carrier relationships to move freight efficiently and profitably.
• Keep operations tight in the TMS, ensure compliance, and collaborate with sales to unlock new capacity and margin opportunities.
  

Requirements

• 1–3+ years of carrier sales experience at a brokerage (flatbed experience strongly preferred).
• Familiarity with drayage is a plus.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and multitasking skills in a high-volume environment.
• Comfortable using TMS and CRM systems with minimal oversight.
