Day in the Life

When your shift begins in Indianapolis, IN, you take a quick walk-through of the plastic manufacturing floor—listening for unusual sounds, scanning dashboards, and prioritizing work orders. You move from preventive checks to hands-on fixes, keeping our lines running smoothly and safely. By the end of the day, your careful inspections, clean documentation, and collaboration with production have reduced downtime and sharpened equipment performance.

Your Core Focus

  • Execute routine preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on plastics processing machinery to keep operations steady.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues quickly to minimize unplanned stoppages.
  • Perform scheduled inspections to verify peak equipment performance and reliability.
  • Record maintenance actions and repair details with accuracy and clarity.
  • Partner with production teams to surface improvement opportunities and implement fixes.
  • Support the setup and installation of new machines and auxiliary equipment.
  • Uphold safety procedures and maintain an orderly, clean, and compliant work area.

Your Background

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in maintenance or a related field preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience as a maintenance technician, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude paired with proven electrical troubleshooting capability.
  • Familiarity with plastic manufacturing processes is advantageous.
  • Comfort working independently while thriving in a team setting.
  • Clear communicator and effective problem-solver.
  • Willing to work flexible hours and overtime when needed.
