Job Description

Commercial Programming Systems, Inc. (CPS) is an Information Technology Staffing company offering a broad range of services aimed at helping our clients deliver high-quality, cost-effective systems.

We are currently searching for a React Developer to support our client for a contract project located in  Jacksonville, FL.  

At this time, we are not considering any candidates from subcontracting companies for this position (no corp. to corp., 1099 or 3 rd Parties). All candidates must currently have permanent US work authorization. 

Target Pay Rate: 50 an hour

The React Developer designs and implements user interfaces (UIs) for web applications using the React JavaScript library. Key responsibilities include creating reusable UI components, collaborating with designers and backend engineers, integrating APIs, and ensuring application performance and responsiveness. They also troubleshoot bugs, maintain code, and participate in all stages of the development cycle, from conception to deployment and testing.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop UIs: Create and build user-facing applications using React, turning designs and wireframes into functional code.
  • Component Development: Build reusable and efficient UI components for web and mobile apps.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including UI/UX designers, backend developers, and project managers, to deliver cohesive products.
  • API Integration: Connect the frontend with backend services by integrating APIs.
  • Performance and Optimization: Ensure applications are performant, responsive, and optimized, and conduct regular performance monitoring.
  • Testing and Debugging: Write tests, troubleshoot bugs, and maintain the application to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Code Maintenance: Fix bugs in existing systems and update project dependencies.
  • Documentation: Write and maintain technical documentation for code and components.
  • Essential Skills and Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Strong knowledge of React.js and its core principles, including component-based architecture.
  • Experience with state management libraries like Redux or Flux.
  • Familiarity with version control tools such as Git.
  • Experience with frontend build tools like Webpack or NPM.
  • Understanding of APIs and how to integrate them.
  • Experience with testing frameworks.
  • Familiarity with Agile development principles.
