Position Title: Registered Nurse – Psychiatric & Mental Health

Shift: Nights (12x3)
Duration: 13-week assignment
Pay Rate: $1,000 to $1,418 per week
Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking Registered Nurse – Psychiatric & Mental Health for an exciting Travel or Local job in Syracuse, NY.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality nursing care to pediatric and adolescent patients in a psychiatric setting.
Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output, and patient status accurately and timely.
Assist in physical examinations and collect specimens as needed.
Complete patient admission documentation and orient new patients to unit protocols.
Perform safety checks and maintain a safe, therapeutic environment.
Address Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and hygiene needs of patients.
Support therapeutic activities and interact therapeutically with patients.
Intervene appropriately during crisis situations under supervision.
Maintain and develop therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, social workers, and therapists.
Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) to document patient care activities.
Participate in nursing unit management tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
Active RN license (state-specific as required)
Current CPR certification
Minimum 1 year of psychiatric nursing experience (2 years preferred)
Experience in pediatric or adolescent mental health preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work independently in a high-pressure environment
Proficient in EMR systems
