Robert Half is partnering with a nonprofit organization in San Diego, CA to hire a Senior Human Resources (HR) Generalist. This position demands an experienced HR professional who is passionate about making an impact within a mission-driven organization, enjoys handling multiple facets of human resources, and brings exceptional leadership and organizational skills to the table.
Responsibilities:
+ HR Strategy: Support and enhance the organization's overall HR strategy, ensuring alignment with its mission and goals
+ Employee Relations: Serve as the main advisor and mediator for addressing employee concerns, ensuring compliance and supporting a positive work culture
+ Recruitment Coordination: Oversee recruiting processes, including job postings, applicant screening, interview coordination, and onboarding for all levels of staff
+ Policy Development: Assist with updating and maintaining HR policies, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal labor laws
+ Training & Development: Lead employee development programs, reskilling/upskilling initiatives, and coaching managers on team development strategies
+ Benefits Administration: Partner with the HR team to manage benefit programs, including open enrollment, claims resolution, and employee education on available benefits
+ HR Analytics: Use HR metrics and analytics tools to provide insights into hiring trends, turnover rates, and employee engagement metrics that drive decision-making
Requirements
+ Experience: 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including employee relations, recruitment, and compliance; previous experience in the nonprofit sector strongly preferred
+ Technical Proficiency: Expertise in HRIS tools like Workday or ADP; familiarity with analytics tools and advanced Microsoft Office skills are required
+ Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; PHR/SHRM-CP certifications preferred
+ Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills; ability to thrive in a dynamic and mission-driven environment
+ Compliance Knowledge: Excellent understanding of labor laws, benefits administration, and HR policies in California
