SENIOR RIGHT OF WAY AGENT – FACILITIES AND DEVELOPMENT DIVISION/REAL PROPERTY SERVICES/ACQUISITION AND REAL PROPERTY SERVICES


The reporting location for this position is 2241 Harvard St, Suite 200, Sacramento, CA 95815. This position will work under the general direction of the Supervising Right of Way Agent.

The Senior Right of Way Agent works independently in the capacity of a program lead person and project manager, to accomplish highly specialized and/or sensitive tasks associated with the Department’s Major Capital Outlay Acquisitions, no-cost acquisitions, title issues, and associated property management programs. Incumbent will serve as a technical advisor and trainer in all areas of the Department’s Real Property Services. Responsibilities may include performing real property appraisal review, personally completing negotiations and document preparations for the most complex acquisition projects and/or use of State Park real property. The program is comprised of a multi-disciplinary team of acquisition planning and real property agents. The position offers a unique opportunity for staff that enjoys a variety of work and travel to scenic units throughout the State Park System.

This position is designated as telework eligible-remote centered.

Working Conditions

The position requires travel to Park Units or remote locations located throughout the State of California, may require overnight travel. Travel could include flying via a commercial airline, driving a state or rental vehicle, or riding as a passenger in a state or rental vehicle. Office setting when not in the field.

Special Requirements
