The Staff Services Manager I (SSM I) Specialist will develop, administer, coordinate, and evaluate educational programs and trainings related to Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) statewide. The SSM I Specialist will coordinate with the Department of Developmental Services (Department) offices and facilities, regional centers, providers, state departments, universities, and other system partners to organize, develop, deliver, and assess educational programs, trainings, and resource materials related to ASD.
The SSM I Specialist is expected to have expertise in ASD, evidence-based practices for supporting individuals on the autism spectrum, and be competent and knowledgeable in areas of equity, cultural and linguistic competency, inclusion, accommodations, strengths-based approaches, person-centered practices, individualized program planning, and neurodiversity.
This position is eligible for geographic retention pay differential of $250.00 per month. Effective July 1, 2025, State employees are subject to a salary reduction of three percent in exchange for five hours per month of the Personal Leave.You will find additional information about the job in the .
