Job Description

A Structural Engineering Technician job is currently available at Belcan in Windsor, CT. This is a full-time direct job with benefits. Great matching candidates will need an Associate's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering. In this role, you will conduct structural analyses of a wide variety of component designs utilizing advanced analytical and CAD tools. This includes turbo machinery components, mechanical systems & controls, and tooling & instrumentation for commercial and military jet engines. 0-3 years of experience. Job Duties: Perform structural analyses using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and post-process results

• Provide technical support for optimizing hardware designs and modeling approach
• Review structural test plans and reports
• Create and present substantiation documentation of analysis results
• Support hardware certification testing
• Review non-conformance/ damage reports
• Interface with customers, hardware suppliers, and participate in design reviews / trade studies

Required:

• AS in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering or related field
• 0-3 years' experience
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• High proficiency with Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Due to the nature of our work *US CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED*
• Experience using FEA software

Preferred: Experience using Ansys Workbench or Classic

• Experience evaluating stress and life of parts under vibration
• Experience with gas turbine components
• Aircraft engine controls and accessories experience

We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $45,000 - $55,000. Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
