Grocery Store Procurement and Inventory Stock Associate Location Louisville :

The Procurement and Inventory Stock Associate is responsible for managing the store's inventory, ensuring that shelves are well-stocked, and overseeing the procurement of goods. This role involves coordinating with suppliers, tracking inventory levels, and maintaining accurate records to support efficient store operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inventory Management:
• Monitor inventory levels and place orders to replenish stock as needed.
• Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
• Organize and maintain stockrooms, ensuring that inventory is stored properly and accessible.
• Procurement:
• Source and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best prices and terms for goods.
• Review purchase orders and confirm delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and address any issues that arise.
• Stocking:
• Receive and inspect deliveries, ensuring that items are correct and in good condition.
• Stock shelves and displays according to store policies and planograms.
• Rotate stock to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
• Record Keeping:
• Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, purchases, and sales.
• Update inventory management systems with relevant data.
• Prepare and submit reports on inventory status and procurement activities.
• Customer Service:
• Assist customers with locating products and provide product information as needed.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues related to inventory and stock.
• Collaboration:
• Work closely with store management and other associates to support overall store operations.
• Participate in team meetings and provide input on inventory management and procurement strategies.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Previous experience in procurement, inventory management, or a similar role in a retail environment is preferred.
• Skills:
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 50 pounds).
• Standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
• Working in various environments, including stockrooms and sales floors.

Work Schedule:

• Full-time position with varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
