Vehicle Mechanic job at SOS International LLC Reston, VA, US

Job Description

Overview:

**This position is contingent upon contract award**

SOSi is seeking a Vehicle Mechanic to join our team supporting maintenance and repair of our government customers’ vehicles.

Responsibilities:

Service a wide range of foreign and domestic sedans, trucks, SUVs, and vans both armored and un-armored (with the priority on armored).
Conduct vehicle condition inspections.
Work with computerized shop equipment and electronic components while also maintaining experience and skills with traditional hand tools.
Use specific manufacturers and aftermarket diagnostic tools to include, but not limited to: scan, brake, air conditioning, and transmission tools.
Understand and use vehicle electrical schematics.
Perform required administrative paperwork for vehicle repairs and diagnostics.

Qualifications:

Must have current SECRET government security clearance.
Minimum 3 years of vehicle maintenance experience.
Possess ASE certification.
Possess mobile HVAC certification.
Experience in vehicle condition inspections.
Technically trained to work with computerized shop equipment and electronic components while also maintaining experience and skills with traditional hand tools.
Experience with, and training in, using specific manufacturers and aftermarket diagnostic tools to include, but not limited to: scan, brake, air conditioning, and transmission tools.
Experience with, and training in, understanding and using vehicle electrical schematics.

Working Conditions:

Ability to perform required administrative paperwork for vehicle repairs and diagnostics.
Nationwide U.S. location with ability to deploy overseas periodically for vehicle maintenance and repair.
